Attune Announces 2019 Charitable Contributions
December 3, 2019
CHICAGO, IL—Attune is proud to announce the recipients of its annual charitable donations made through the company’s benevolence account, the David Ironside Fund. Established in 2001, the Fund was created in order to give back to each of the local communities that the company operates in. Each year, team members at each Attune location choose a local charity to receive its donation.
“This is one of the traditions I'm most proud of at our organization. We're incredibly grateful to be able to continue giving back to our communities around the country; I think it means even more that the recipients are chosen by members of our team that live and work in these communities,” said Attune CEO Don Slivensky.
David Ironside was one of the very first employees at Attune (then known as MicroTek). He had a passion for service and was involved with local outreach programs for at-risk and disadvantaged children. In many cases, David would welcome young people into his own home during difficult, transitional periods in their lives.
“Over our nearly three decades in business, community involvement has shaped the company culture here at Attune; giving back is the only way we could properly honor David's memory,” said Kim Markovich, Vice President of Finance & Operations.
Attune employees selected 10 different local charities to receive donations. The recipients for each community are as follows:
Atlanta — Semper Fi Fund
Boston — Dana-Farber Cancer Institute
Chicago — Connections for Abused Women and their Children
Dallas — Texas Food Bank
Denver — Children's Hospital Colorado
Downers Grove (Corporate HQ) — Childserv
Dulles — Bridges to Independence
New York — Children’s Aid Society
San Francisco — CityTeam Ministries San Francisco
Washington, DC — Catholic Charities
